Privacy Policy

What VIVA-MC collects, and how we use and publish it.

1. Information we collect

Server (Minecraft)

  • Player name (gamer ID) and UUID
  • The IP address you connect from (kept in server logs to prevent abuse and enforce bans)
  • Chat and command logs (server logs)
  • Play records: join and leave times, playtime, number of joins, kills, deaths, blocks placed and broken
  • In-game information: money, town (Lands) and so on
  • Votes on voting sites: the name that voted and when (via Votifier)
  • Player counts: how many people were online (every 5 minutes; no names)
  • Land and nation (Lands) information: names of lands and nations, owners and leaders, members, territory size, bank balance, allies and enemies, war records
  • Land and nation events: declarations of war, war endings, alliances, new nations, land creation and deletion, with their dates

Official site

  • Our host (Vercel) records IP addresses and browser information when you visit.
  • Gamer IDs entered on the player page are sent to the server to look up stats.
  • The device you choose on the Join page, and the gamer ID and alert settings you register in VIVA Portal, are stored only in your browser (your gamer ID is sent to the server only to look up your stats).
  • When you turn on alerts in VIVA Portal, we store where to deliver them (a delivery URL and encryption keys issued by your browser's provider) and which alerts you want. We don't store your name or IP address. Turning alerts off deletes this.
  • Questions you type into the Q&A assistant ("Ask" in the bottom right), along with the previous exchange, are sent to Groq's AI service to write the answer. Don't enter personal information or passwords.

Official Discord

  • The content of tickets and messages. Information on Discord is handled under Discord's privacy policy.

2. How we use it

  • Running the server and handling problems and cheating
  • Showing stats, rankings, join history, the nation directory and the chronicle on the official site
  • Responding to inquiries

3. Information shown publicly on the site

The following can be seen by anyone on the official site.

  • Player stats: entering a gamer ID shows kills, deaths, blocks placed/broken, playtime, number of joins, first and last join dates, money and town.
  • Rankings and player lists: rankings and lists based on the items above
  • Join history: recent joins and leaves with their times (only the most recent are kept)
  • Names of players online now, and player counts over the last 7 days
  • Titles: assigned automatically from the records above (such as "Veteran" or "Architect")
  • Nation directory: names of lands and nations, owners and leaders, member names, territory size, bank balance, allies and enemies, war record
  • Chronicle: events such as declarations of war, war endings, alliances and new nations, with their dates
  • Votes: the number of votes received from voting sites (per name, this month and total)
  • Event calendar: the names, dates, descriptions and "interested" counts of events registered on the official Discord
  • World map: the world's terrain and buildings, and the extent of lands and nations
  • Posts in the official Discord announcements channel

IP addresses, UUIDs and chat content are never made public.

4. Outside services

The official site uses the following services to display pages. When you open a page, your browser connects to them.

  • Vercel (to serve the site)
  • Google Fonts (to display text)
  • cdnjs (to display icons)
  • mcstatus.io and mcsrvstat.us (to check whether the server is up)
  • Groq (to write answers for the Q&A assistant; only when you send a question)
  • mc-heads.net (to show player skins; the names of the players shown are sent)
  • Discord (to fetch announcements; the site's server fetches them, so nothing about you is sent)
  • Upstash (to store where to send alerts; only when you turn alerts on)
  • Push services from Google, Apple, Mozilla and Microsoft (to deliver alerts; your browser's own provider is used)

The official site does not use analytics or cookie tracking.

5. Sharing with third parties

We never give the information we collect to third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

6. Requests to delete or hide information

If you want your player stats, join history or nation membership display deleted or hidden, let us know with a ticket on the official Discord. We'll handle it after confirming it's you.

7. Changes to this policy

We may change this policy when needed. Changes will be announced in the news on the official site.
